Fort Thomas Highlands fell to Pulaski County by a score of 41-31 at Highlands Friday afternoon, in a game featuring the defending Kentucky Class 4A state champion (Highlands) and the defending Kentucky Class 5A state champion (Pulaski County). Highlands took a 31-14 lead early in the third quarter after making a field goal set up by a Pulaski County turnover. However, the Bluebirds were unable to contain the potent Pulaski County offense in the second half. Highlands quarterback Austin Hergott completed 14 of his 21 passing attempts for 202 yards and a score, but did have 2 interceptions in the game.
