Fort Thomas Highlands dropped to 1-2 on the season with a 54-28 loss to Kentucky Class 6A Scott County in Georgetown Friday evening.  The Bluebirds struggled to contain Scott County's speed and athleticism, both offensively and defensively.  Highlands starting quarterback Austin Hergott did not play in the game due to injury, and back-up quarterback Brady Gosney completed 9 of 25 passing attempts for 93 yards.  Running back Nick Kendall amassed 175 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns in the contest, and defensive lineman Luke Lindeman returned a Scott County fumble 65 yards for a score.  The Bluebirds hope to rebound against Ryle at home next week.

The Highlands freshman team shut out the Cooper freshman team by a score of 27-0 Thursday, and the Highands JV squad defeated the Cooper JV team 30-26 on Saturday to remain perfect in 2015.
