Highlands Named as a "Team to Watch" by ESPN

Defending Kentucky Class 4A state champion Fort Thomas Highlands has been named as a "Team to Watch" by ESPN in its 2012 Football Fab 50 Offseason Primer. Last year, the Bluebirds finished the season ranked 31st nationally in the ESPN Powerade Fab 50 Rankings, with a record of 15-0. This year, Highlands is scheduled to face off against some stiff competition, including perennial state power Boyle County in the season opener, 2011 Kentucky Class 6A state runner-up Scott County and Cincinnati power Elder. Also, Highlands will be scrimmaging defending Kentucky Class 6A state champion Louisville Trinity in the 2012 preseason. Last year, Trinity finished the season ranked first in the nation in multiple national rankings.
